Comparison / T1

What each line costs, how long it usually takes, and what you get back.

A session is a block of a technician's time at a headset with you watching. A setup is a per-machine job with a checklist. Fleet care is monthly. On a phone each row stacks into its own block.

Group / C1 — Sessions and fixes

The booked block. One problem, one call, a code read out loud.

You read us a nine-digit code. We connect. You watch the whole time, and nothing stays on the machine after the call unless you ask. Four lines of work in this group, all billed in half-hour blocks.

C1-01

One-off remote session

from $45 per 30-minute block

A customer reading a one-time access code over the phone

The whole trade compressed into one call. A single problem, one booked block, a one-time code read out over the phone, and nothing left installed afterwards. We use Microsoft Quick Assist or RustDesk depending on what your machine already has.

  • Block30 or 60 min
  • ToolsQuick Assist, RustDesk
  • Agent afterNone
C1-02

Printers and scanners

from $45 per 30-minute block

Office laser printer waiting on a driver fix

Most printer calls are a driver Windows Update replaced with a generic one, and the fix takes about eleven minutes. We also set up scan-to-email on an SMTP that the printer will actually keep talking to, and we tame label printers that drop offline after sleep.

  • Makers we fix mostBrother, HP, Canon, Zebra, Epson
  • Scan-to-emailMicrosoft 365, Google
  • Does not includeToner, paper jams, head cleaning
C1-03

Mail and accounts

from $45 per mailbox

Mail client repeatedly asking for a password

Outlook asking for a password every two minutes is almost always a cached credential that no longer matches the tenant. We rebuild the profile, delete the stale credential and leave the mailbox signed in. Mailbox moves from one tenant to another are a scheduled job.

  • PlatformsMicrosoft 365, Google Workspace
  • ClientsOutlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird
  • Not usBuying your Microsoft licence for you
C1-04

Slow PC cleanup

from $60 per machine

An older family computer during a remote cleanup

Trimmed startup list, bloat and adware off, scheduled scans put in a sensible place, OneDrive told to stop pretending the whole desktop needs to sync at once. If the real fix is an SSD or more RAM, we say so and point you at a bench. A spinning hard drive on Windows 11 is a losing fight.

  • CoversWindows 10, 11, macOS 12 and newer
  • Removal limitsBrowser hijackers yes, deep rootkits no
  • Hardware upgradesAdvised, not performed
Group / C2 — Setups and new kit

Per-machine jobs on a checklist, finished before the user needs it.

New laptop, new desk, new router. Scheduled before the hardware arrives wherever possible, so day one begins with the mailbox open and the printer ready.

C2-01

New workstation setup

from $120 per machine

A new laptop at its first setup screen next to its box

A new laptop arrives on Tuesday. By Wednesday morning it has the mailbox, the shared drive, the label printer and nothing from the manufacturer you did not ask for. Windows 11 Pro or macOS 13 Ventura and newer, with a run-through at the end so the user is not meeting the machine cold.

  • PlatformsWindows 11 Pro, macOS 13+
  • Bloat removedMcAfee trial, Candy Crush, Dell shovelware
  • Not includedBuying the laptop, buying the licences
C2-02

Home office kit configuration

from $75 per desk

Home office desk with a docked laptop, two monitors and a headset

Dell WD19 docks, CalDigit TS4, Logitech MX, two monitors, webcam on top, headset on the right port. We route the audio so calls stop picking the laptop microphone when the lid is closed, and we save it in a profile so it survives the next reboot.

  • Docks seen mostDell WD19, CalDigit TS4, Anker 777
  • MonitorsUp to two per desk, DisplayPort or HDMI
  • Does not coverMounting arms, cable trays
C2-03

Router, Wi-Fi and VPN

from $60 per site

Wi-Fi router and mesh node on a shelf

Router admin password changed off the sticker, WPA3 on where the kit supports it, a guest network that cannot see the printer, DNS set to something that logs less. For mesh we ask for a rough floor plan and tell you where the second node needs to sit before it will do anything useful.

  • Routers we see mostTP-Link, ASUS, Netgear, UniFi
  • VPN clientsWireGuard, OpenVPN, Tailscale
  • Not usRunning cable through walls
C2-04

Backup and file recovery

from $75 per machine for setup; recovery quoted per case

External backup drive connected to a laptop during a backup run

A 3-2-1 backup means three copies, two kinds of storage, one copy somewhere the house fire cannot reach. We set it up, we run a test restore, and we leave you with a sheet that says what is covered and what is not. A drive that is already clicking is not a recovery job, it is a specialist bench.

  • CloudOneDrive, iCloud, Backblaze, Google
  • LocalUSB, NAS from Synology or QNAP
  • Will not recoverA dead SSD, overwritten OneDrive after 30 days
Group / C3 — For technicians and offices

Ongoing work for the people who look after other people's machines.

Unattended access is a separate, named product, with its own agent and its own password. Fleet care is monthly. Audits are a one-shot and leave a document behind.

C3-01

Unattended access setup

from $60 per machine, one-time setup

Office desktop left on for scheduled unattended maintenance

A persistent agent we can connect to without the user being there, so patch windows and after-hours work are possible. Its own password, its own access list, and a written procedure for removing a person's access the day they leave.

  • AgentsRustDesk self-hosted, TeamViewer, Splashtop
  • Access listWritten, named, reviewed quarterly
  • RevocationPassword rotated, agent uninstalled on request
C3-02

Technician's second pair of hands

from $40 per 30-minute block, billed to the technician

Independent technician working at the bench while a remote session runs beside them

For independent IT and repair shops. We run the remote session under your name, with the customer, while your technician stays on the bench with the open laptop. A short note comes back to you so your invoice has something to point at.

C3-03

Small fleet care

from $25 per machine per month, 3 to 25 machines

Small office computers running their monthly update window after hours

  • ScopeWorkstations, routers, Microsoft 365 admin

Before you book / notes

Four things worth knowing before you pick a line.

The quickest way through this page is to type the symptom into the lookup. If it is a hardware fault we will say so inside the first ten minutes with no charge.

You watch the whole time. We do not connect without a code read out loud, and the session shows a banner on your screen until it ends.
Hardware is a bench job. A clicking drive, a swollen battery, a cracked hinge, a port that will not take the charger — those need hands. Session stops, no fee for the first ten minutes.
If a block runs over, we ask before the next one starts. You never find a bigger bill than you agreed to.
Not sure which line fits? The symptom lookup takes a model, a part or a sentence and routes you to the right page.
